Staff Engineer

TL;DR

Staff Engineer: Driving the technical strategy for hirify.global's user lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, authentication, engagement, and subscriptions, with an accent on bridging the gap between backend services, mobile client architecture, and business impact. Focus on defining technical roadmaps, elevating engineering culture, and architecting systems that enable rapid experimentation.

Location: Flexible approach to remote working with at least 2 days a week in one of our offices in London, Athens or Cyprus

What you will do

• Architect and design modular, scalable, and observable systems for high-volume experimentation and user engagement.
• Drive the cross-platform strategic vision and roadmap.
• Promote continuous improvement by driving architectural standards and engineering best practices.
• Mentor senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Identify root causes of systemic issues and architectural bottlenecks.
• Partner with product managers and data scientists to design technical solutions.

Requirements

• Proven track record of technical leadership in a mobile-heavy or full-stack capacity.
• Experience designing and architecting systems at scale.
• Deep experience with A/B testing frameworks or data-intensive growth loops.
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to communicate about complex challenges to technical and non-technical executives.
• Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills.
