Location: Hybrid in Cyprus. A relocation package is offered for candidates from other regions to Cyprus. Candidates must not reside in or perform work from Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or certain occupied regions of Ukraine (Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson).

What you will do

• Lead design and development of Android features from discovery to release.
• Drive system architecture, applying Clean Architecture / MVI / MVVM, and review pull requests.
• Implement feature-flagged launches and A/B experiments; analyze results and iterate.
• Detect and eliminate performance issues using profiling tools and network tools.
• Automate CI/CD with GitHub Actions/Gradle; enforce secure coding practices.
• Set up monitoring dashboards (Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics) and design secure data storage/transmission.
• Guide sprint planning, task decomposition, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial Android development experience; expert in Kotlin and modern Android APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Retrofit/OkHttp, Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack (Compose, WorkManager), Google Maps, FCM, and Gradle.
• Proven experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), feature flags, and large-scale A/B experimentation.
• Strong grasp of offline storage, concurrency, performance tuning, and network debugging.
• Understanding of backend-service principles and API design; capable of data-driven decision-making.
• Practical expertise in Clean Architecture and mainstream patterns (MVI/MVVM/MVP) applied in production.
• Legal right to work in Cyprus is required, or willingness to relocate to Cyprus and potentially require visa sponsorship.
