3D FX Artist (Animation)

Location: Must be based regionally in the UK, outside of the M25.

What you will do

• Keep CG Supervisor and Head of FX informed of daily progress.
• Help drive the project team to meet schedule objectives.
• Contribute to Art Direct abstract or stylized FX.
• Problem-solve and design solutions for stylized and abstract effects.
• Work effectively within tight schedules and deadlines.
• Work flexibly with multiple software packages and integrate well within a small team.

Requirements

• Experience with Houdini and Maya.
• Ability to create dynamic simulations like Water, Fire, Smoke, etc.
• Strong artistic eye and thorough attention to detail.
• Good understanding of the entire visual effects process and pipeline issues.
• Working knowledge of Nuke and a solid understanding of the composting process.
• Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
