TL;DR

Lead Account Executive (Financial Services): Driving new client acquisition within the financial services sector and developing targeted sales strategies for large financial institutions with an accent on leveraging industry expertise to tailor solutions to financial services challenges and regulatory requirements. Focus on navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, cultivating executive-level relationships, and staying informed on industry trends and regulations.

Location: Hybrid. Must be based in Illinois, USA.

Salary: $223,500–$335,500 OTE

What you will do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to identify, target, and acquire new financial services clients.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with decision-makers at banks, insurance companies, and other financial entities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to position solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, solution engineering, and customer success teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting using Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of quota-carrying experience in new business development or enterprise sales within the financial services sector.
  • 5+ years of complex solution selling experience with some SaaS exposure.
  • High degree of comfort with public speaking and giving presentations.

Nice to have

  • Experience working for a company within the e-discovery, CMS, or big data analytics industry.
  • Strong technical acumen in financial technology, regulatory compliance, risk management, or data analytics.
  • Working knowledge of industry-specific regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, OCC).
  • Experience selling enterprise solutions related to financial services operations or regulatory technology (RegTech).
  • Working knowledge of hirify.global and its products.
