Location: Hybrid, working 40% (two days) in an office site in Edinburgh or Leeds, UK

Salary: £90,440 – £109,060

What you will do

• Shape end-to-end solutions and guide technical choices within the Individual Customer Savings (ICS) Lab.
• Guide work through design and governance steps, especially during modernization with GCP and automation.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leads to resolve issues and manage dependencies.
• Contribute to an "engineering surgery" culture by sharing insights and simplifying problems.
• Build POCs and reference solutions that guide engineering efforts.
• Translate complexity into clear decisions and steer work through lightweight controls for faster modernization.

Requirements

• Strong big picture design skills with React architecture, data architecture, and OAuth/OIDC patterns.
• Ability to get hands-on to build POCs and reference solutions.
• Experience with our stack including React CWA moving onto GCP Kubernetes, GitHub EU, and Harness CI/CD.
• Proficiency in service integration through APIC v10 with mTLS.
• Experience with observability via Dynatrace and Azure Application Insights.
• Ability to help the Lab modernise faster on GCP Pub/Sub / Confluent Kafka, Hashi Corp Vault and IDP DevSecOps golden paths.
