TL;DR

Junior Implementation Engineer: Responsible for implementing and supporting network, server, storage, virtualization, cloud, and security solutions for clients, with an accent on field installation, remote administration, and solution design. Location: Hybrid role based at corporate headquarters in Cedar Knolls, NJ, with travel to client sites in the NJ/NY metro area.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Provide Level 2 technical support and troubleshooting for escalated infrastructure, network, cloud, and security issues.
• Design, implement, and support network, server, storage, virtualization, and cloud solutions, including upgrades and optimization.
• Deploy, manage, and secure cloud and SaaS platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365), backups, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Implement and maintain security controls, monitoring, and incident response processes to protect client and internal systems.
• Contribute to project delivery and operational excellence through technical design, documentation, and on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in an MSP environment supporting Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DFS) and Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams), Intune, and MDM.
• Practical experience installing, configuring, and maintaining virtualization and cloud platforms, including VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure Virtual Machines.
• Applied knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security, including deployment and support of firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and VPNs.
• MCSA, Microsoft 365 Associate, or equivalent technical certification.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, client-focused service mindset, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel to client sites within the NJ/NY metro area and participate in on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Experience administering and supporting EMC Storage Area Networks (SAN).
• Microsoft MCSE or advanced M365/Azure certifications.
• Security+ certifications.
• Experience with Cisco DUO, ConnectWise, or SonicWall Firewalls.
