Software Engineer, Primitive Foundations (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fullstack): Designing, building, and evolving hirify.global’s core building blocks across the stack to support complex workflows and enable toolmaking ubiquity with an accent on database primitives, UI/UX, and system scalability. Focus on decomposing user problems into reusable primitive-level improvements, building high-quality user-facing products in TypeScript and React, and creating APIs to multiply other teams.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California (Requires in-office work on Mondays and Thursdays).

Salary: $150,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Shape hirify.global’s foundational building blocks like databases and layout systems.
• Decompose new product ideas into reusable primitive solutions.
• Build polished, high-quality user experiences in TypeScript and React.
• Create documentation, patterns, and APIs to empower other engineering teams.
• Improve the reliability and performance of primitive systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience shipping meaningful product features and leading complex projects from design to launch.
• Full-stack product engineering experience (TypeScript, React, Node.js or similar environments).
• Strong UI and UX sensibilities, with a focus on interaction details.
• Systems thinking to design scalable and reusable solutions.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Deep familiarity with hirify.global (1+ year regular use as a power user).

Nice to have

• High agency and ownership, comfortable with ambiguity.
• Experience building flexible, composable productivity tools.
• Comfortable engaging directly with users for feedback.
• Breadth of interests beyond pure engineering.
