Senior Golang Developer (API)

TL;DR

Senior Golang Developer (API): Responsible for building and improving the hirify.global API which powers websites, dashboards and internal/external applications with an accent on defining, architecting and reviewing new APIs with product teams. Focus on designing, implementing and supporting applications, tools and platforms supporting development teams and customers, like the authentication or abuse platform.

Location: Remote. Work from abroad up to 4 weeks per year

hirify.global is an organization with approximately 90 engineers working in small scrum teams, each responsible for a specific product or part of the architecture.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product teams to define, architect, and review new APIs.
• Interact with the developer community, represent hirify.global API, and participate in developer events to improve the API.
• Design, implement, and support applications, tools, and platforms for development teams and customers.
• Work with technologies such as PHP, Elastic Stack, Chef, and Terraform.
• Apply your specialism to support the team with operations and R&D.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with software development.
• Experience with API Development.
• Proven programming skills, with a strong preference for Golang; PHP experience is also valued.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• English is a must, Dutch would be an advantage

Nice to have

• Knowledge of creating a Terraform plugin.
• Knowledge of OAuth2 protocol.
• Experience in setting up software architectures.
• Experience with Agile development methods such as scrum.
