Unreal Engine Developer (Virtual Production/XR): Developing photorealistic real-time 3D applications and integrating volumetric captures into interactive virtual and augmented reality experiences with an accent on CG pipelines, lighting, shading, and Unreal Engine plugin development. Focus on solving complex technical requirements, exploring VR and AR devices, and improving production workflows for film and virtual production.
Location: Onsite at the facilities of Studio Babelsberg near Potsdam/Berlin, Germany

Commercial volumetric capture studio creating high-resolution digital performances and volumetric content for feature films, virtual productions, augmented reality, and virtual reality.
What you will do
- Use Unreal Engine tools to achieve photorealism for virtual production, film, and XR.
- Compose and integrate volumetric captures into interactive XR experiences.
- Improve CG pipelines and production workflows.
- Develop solutions for complex technical requirements and explore VR/AR devices and applications.
- Guide less experienced team members and collaborate with other facilities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing real-time 3D applications in Unreal Engine.
- Strong knowledge of texturing, shading, lighting, complex CG pipelines, and real-time virtual production integration.
- Expertise in plugin development and solid C/C++ skills in a UE4 environment.
- Strong attention to visual detail, realism, and high-quality visualization.
- Highly proficient spoken and written German or English.
- Self-management skills, motivation, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Nice to have
- Experience with digital humans and virtual character creation.
- Experience with Houdini, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Nuke, or After Effects.
- Experience with Unity.
