TL;DR
Software Engineer, Backend (Web3): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for crypto-forward products and features with an accent on bridging web-scale applications and blockchain technology. Focus on solving unique, large-scale, complex technical problems, operating real-time applications with high frequency and low latency updates, and managing secure, dockerized infrastructure in the cloud.
Location: This role is required to be in the UK. In-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites.

What you will do
- Write high quality, well tested code to build the next generation of crypto-forward products and features.
- Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help make cryptocurrency accessible globally.
- Independently take ownership over the completion and quality of your tasks and projects.
- Show bias for action and data-driven decisions to experiment with new solutions.
- Collaborate with the Country Director, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to customize the hirify.global app for the UK market.
Requirements
- Graduated university with internship and industry experience.
- Ability to write high quality, well tested code.
- Experience building resilient and scalable micro-services.
- Excitement about tackling complex problems and getting things done.
- Experience executing technical tasks and projects end-to-end.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English is required.
- This role is required to be based in the UK.
Nice to have
- At least 1+ years of experience with Golang, Protobuff, GRPC, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, Ruby on Rails.
- Experience working on engineering teams in the finance space.
- Passion for blockchain technology and experience as a power user of crypto exchange applications or dapps.
