What you will do

• Plan, design, and execute functional and non-functional tests for Shopify and e-commerce features.
• Propose ideas and automate new test-cases.
• Test new features, maintain existing functionality, and validate end-to-end user flows, checkout processes, and payment integrations.
• Verify integrations between multiple internal teams and external systems.
• Identify defects, create detailed bug reports, and participate in weekly release cycles.
• Maintain and update test documentation and project specifications.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer, preferably within e-commerce projects.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce business logic and user behavior.
• Proven ability to design, write, and execute Test Automation scripts.
• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript for test development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with the Playwright automation framework.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong application of programming principles and design patterns to ensure code maintainability.
• Proficiency in optimizing tests using fixtures and configuring parallel test execution.
• Ability to configure clear, actionable test reports and efficiently debug issues based on failure logs.
