Senior Fullstack Engineer (Java/React)

Senior Fullstack Engineer (Java/React): Designing, developing, and enhancing mission-critical services and user experiences across backend and frontend systems for a global voice platform with an accent on secure, high-performance, and reliable microservices and web applications. Focus on scaling complex, cloud-native environments, embracing DevOps ownership, and solving challenging problems across multiple systems.

Location: Remote within the United States. Candidates residing within 50 miles of the San Ramon office will work in a Hybrid format (3 days/week onsite).

Salary: $90,000 - $250,300 USD

What you will do

• Develop a scalable, highly available global voice platform as part of an agile team.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering leaders, and Test Engineers.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code using JavaScript, Java, Spring, and related technologies.
• Apply performance and scalability principles when developing software.
• Troubleshoot and support the current platform in production (DevOps ownership).
• Write unit and functional tests and ensure clear documentation and communication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in backend development (Java).
• 5+ years of industry experience in frontend development (JavaScript, TypeScript, React).
• Deep knowledge and experience with frameworks such as Spring.
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performing Microservices providing REST APIs.
• Strong expertise in web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and databases (SQL or NoSQL).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Knowledge of real-time communications (SIP, RTP, etc.).
• Experience with Backbone.
