Principal Product Manager (AI)

Principal Product Manager (AI): Building AI-powered products and helping businesses grow using Microsoft's data and services through advertising and new AI-first business models with an accent on understanding emerging AI industry. Focus on translating business goals into strategy, user experience and technical requirements in close collaboration with Applied Science, Data Science, Engineering, UX and Product Marketing/Sales teams.

Location: Redmond, United States. Starting January 26, 2026, employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. are expected to work from the office at least four days per week.

Salary: USD $163,000 – $296,400 per year.

• Drive the building of world-class AI applications to delight consumers and deliver business results.
• Own a product area and manage end-to-end product development, launches, and iterations.
• Translate business goals into strategy, user experience, and technical requirements.
• Define goals and performance indicators, set up and oversee experiments, and measure success with data and research.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience leading cross-functional product teams across advertising, privacy, search, conversational AI, or generative AI.
• 5+ years experience delivering products that include a full Search and/or Advertising technology stack.
• 5+ years experience with data analytics and experimentation tools with working knowledge of SQL and coding skills (Python, Javascript).

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 12+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience building Ads products.
• 5+ years of experience in monetization products and B2B.
