Engineering Manager (DevX)

Focus on providing transversal technical understanding across frontend, backend, and platform, driving security by design, and reducing operational noise for engineering teams.

Location: Possible full remote (Europe), with office locations in Etterbeek, Brussels, and Paris.

What you will do

• Lead and grow the DevX squad, including hiring, onboarding, and career development.
• Define the DevX vision and roadmap with a "DevX as a product" mindset.
• Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of DevX initiatives while reducing operational noise.
• Drive security engineering by design, defining and enforcing non-negotiable rules, standards, and automated checks.
• Implement reliability and availability topics such as status pages, reporting, and SRE practices.
• Represent the DevX squad in cross-functional discussions and leadership forums.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead with people management responsibilities.
• Experience working in a DevX, platform, SRE, or tooling team.
• Strong technical culture across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, able to challenge decisions without needing to code every day.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Product-minded and pragmatic approach, focusing on users, impact, and value.

Nice to have

• Exposure to scale-up or SaaS product environments.
• Strong understanding of software delivery, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and security practices.
