What you will do

• Lead pipeline innovation by designing R&D tools for automated character rigging, environment world-building, and volumetric VFX.
• Optimize and automate workflows by identifying bottlenecks and implementing predictive R&D models.
• Ensure artistic control by designing tool UI/UX that prioritizes manual fine-tuning.
• Define aesthetic targets in collaboration with Directors to establish the "ground truth" data for R&D models.
• Scale and mentor by documenting and sharing production-ready R&D workflows.

Requirements

• Shipped at least one AAA title as a Principal or Senior Technical Artist (UE5 and Console experience preferred).
• Hands-on experience applying Machine Learning or Generative Systems to 3D content.
• Expert-level mastery of Unreal Engine’s rendering architecture, shaders, and materials.
• Proficiency in Python for tool development and experience in procedural or character pipelines.
• A passion for replacing legacy workflows with scalable, R&D-driven solutions.
