Network Engineer II (Fintech)

Network Engineer II (Fintech): Ensuring the platform’s network infrastructure meets evolving needs by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network solutions with an accent on performance, scalability, and security. Focus on collaborating with platform engineering, developing monitoring protocols, and automating processes for efficiency and minimal downtime.

Location: Hybrid (São Paulo, Brazil): 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home. Occasional travel to hirify.global locations may be required.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to ensure high availability and reliability of our network and platform infrastructure.
• Design and implement new systems and services that comply with reliability and scalability standards.
• Develop and maintain monitoring protocols, incident management, and troubleshooting procedures for network infrastructure and applications.
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding to high-severity incidents to maintain system availability.
• Use observability tools to assess system performance and health, implementing necessary improvements.
• Design and automate processes and tools to enhance efficiency and minimise downtime.

Requirements

• Experience with multi-vendor network devices such as Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet, and cloud environment knowledge (GCP, AWS) with a focus on network.
• Minimum network knowledge level equivalent to CCNA, including routing protocols (Static Routes, OSPF, BGP) and filter technologies (Access-list, Prefix-List, Route-Maps).
• Experience with GCP, AWS firewall rules, and Fortigate devices.
• Experience with Network documentation standards as High-Level, Low-Level, Network Implementation/Migration Plan and Change Request.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement network architecture for projects of simple to medium complexity.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in the FinTech industry.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with DevOps tools and DevSecOps practices.
• Skilled in Shell Scripting or Python Software Development.
• Knowledge of Spanish.
