Location: This role requires you to be on-site at our Berlin office for at least 80% of your weekly working hours. Mobile work is allowed up to 20% anywhere within Germany, and the option to work from abroad.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and frontend services, focusing on the content publishing pipeline.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Content Operations teams.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure configuration (IAC).
• Monitor system performance and stability, ensuring high standards for efficiency, security, and maintainability.
• Contribute new ideas to improve how applications are built, delivered, and maintained.

Requirements

• Solid experience developing and maintaining both backend and frontend services.
• Strong skills in Java (Spring Boot, Spring AI) on the backend and TypeScript (React) on the frontend.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases and designing database schemas.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins) and Infrastructure as a Code (e.g. Terraform, OpenTofu, AWS CloudFormation).
• Care about system performance, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Fluent communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow or process management systems (e.g. BPMN-based tools) and using Python for automation or AI-related tasks.
