Senior Data Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (Fintech): Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ELT/ETL data pipelines for hirify.global's Data Platform with an accent on data modelling and solid software engineering practices. Focus on overall pipeline orchestration using Airflow and GCP hosted services.

Location: Hybrid: 4 days in the Madrid office, 1 day working from home

What you will do

• Participate in data modelling reviews and discussions to validate the model's accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain ELT/ETL data pipelines from a variety of data sources.
• Deliver data models using solid software engineering practices.
• Manage overall pipeline orchestration using Airflow and GCP hosted services.
• Reduce technical debt by addressing outdated or inefficient code.
• Collaborate with team members to reinforce best practices across the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data/analytics engineering experience building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes on big data environments.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices in data (SDLC, RFC...).
• Stay informed about the latest developments and industry standards in Data.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with our modern Data stack tools.
• Dimensional modelling/data warehousing concepts knowledge.
• Spanish language.
