Data Science Specialist (Healthcare)

TL;DR

Data Science Specialist (AI/ML, Healthcare): Designing, developing, and deploying predictive and analytical models to extract insights from complex healthcare data with an accent on improving revenue cycle outcomes. Location: Remote (US). There is a requirement for on-site onboarding during initial days of employment for new hires starting October 1st, 2025, or later, with travel expenses covered by the company.

Salary: $131,750 - $170,500 USD (includes base pay plus variable incentive pay).

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy predictive and analytical models using advanced data science techniques.
• Collaborate with clinical experts and researchers to generate actionable predictions and deliver evidence-based recommendations.
• Utilize cloud platforms to build scalable data analytics pipelines and AI models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML models into existing solutions and workflows.
• Effectively communicate complex findings to key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of data science experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 9+ years of data science experience.
• Experience with programming languages, databases, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with AI and machine learning technologies and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS SageMaker).
• Experience with cloud services and data pipelines.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in data science, computer science, applied mathematics, or related field.
• Proven experience working with healthcare data, unstructured, clinical, medical coding, and reimbursement data.
• Experience with AWS, Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Quicksight, Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with predictive modeling, deep learning, LLM applications, and NLP techniques.
• Knowledge of medical classification systems (e.g., CPT, ICD-10) and revenue cycle and denials management solutions.
