Location: Must work from our San Francisco offices at least half-time. Not considering candidates residing in the following states: Alaska (AK), Arkansas (AR), Delaware (DE), Iowa (IA), Mississippi (MS), Missouri (MO), Nebraska (NE), Oklahoma (OK), Rhode Island (RI), South Dakota (SD), Vermont (VT), West Virginia (WV), and Wisconsin (WI)

Salary: $162,000 - $203,000

What you will do

• Contribute to the strategy, evolution, and governance of Oura's design system, including its core components, patterns, and visual foundations.
• Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to build, document, and maintain a shared library of platform-level components.
• Advise stakeholders on common design patterns and champion new changes to design guidance and frameworks.
• Ensure seamless integration of the design system across web and native applications, guaranteeing design fidelity and a pixel-perfect user experience.
• Contribute to the refinement of core system elements, such as typography, color, and iconography.
• Collaborate and support other designers, elevating the overall craft and a systems-thinking mindset across the product organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a product or UI/UX designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing design systems work.
• Experience building and scaling design systems for a rapidly scaling or mass-market mobile application, connecting bridges between design and development.
• Mastery of Figma and other relevant design tools, including proficiency with components, variables, and library management.
• A proven track record of working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams to drive system adoption and uphold quality standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mobile design patterns and a deep understanding of accessibility standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate a vision and drive alignment across the organization.
