What you will do

• Lead and supervise production support for critical systems in FTSE Engineering.
• Diagnose, solve, and resolve complex technical issues beyond first and second-line support.
• Collaborate with technology teams and business users to understand user journeys and data interactions.
• Manage and resolve technical issues within key Index Platforms, leveraging AWS cloud-native architecture.
• Provide 3rd line support, including incident management, for database applications.
• Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, scripts, cursors, and views.

Requirements

• Extensive experience providing 3rd line support, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to database systems and integrations.
• 8-10+ years of solid experience in database application support across SQL Server, Sybase, and PostgreSQL.
• Prior experience with data-intensive applications, handling and optimizing large datasets.
• Solid experience in debugging and tuning SQL queries, stored procedures, and monitoring database performance.
• Solid experience in C#.NET programming and application development within .NET frameworks.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL Aurora, queues, and Elastic Search.
• Good experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Some experience in Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, Delivery Management, and/or Emerging Technology and Governance.
