System Test Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: San Diego, CA or Foster City, CA; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Develop test plans and test cases at the highest level of system integration.
• Design and automate feature validation, functional, and regression testing using Hardware in the Loop and Software in the Loop assets.
• Review test data, collect metrics, and provide quantitative evidence of milestone readiness.
• Analyze vehicle logs and test data to trace failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Document findings, communicate results, and support defect management from recognition through resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 3+ years of industry experience testing complex systems, including cloud tools, cloud networking, mobile applications, application UI, and operational workflows.
• Experience designing, developing, and executing test methodologies that scale across multiple teams.
• Strong software development experience with Python, Pytest, REST APIs, and version control systems such as Git.
• Experience troubleshooting integrated systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hardware in the Loop and/or Software in the Loop.
• Experience with issue reporting tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Linux and Unix-based systems.
