Scrum Master/Business Analyst

TL;DR

Scrum Master/Business Analyst: Supporting the Readiness and Employment System (RES) contract within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs with an accent on facilitating Agile team practices, removing impediments, and improving communication. Focus on managing requirements gathering, documenting business requirements, and translating functional needs into technical specifications within Atlassian Confluence and Jira.

Location: Fully remote within the U.S.

Salary: $115,000 - $120,000 Annually

What you will do

• Act as a servant-leader for an Agile team, ensuring they follow Scrum practices and overcome obstacles.
• Facilitate team meetings, coach the team on Agile principles, and assist the product owner in product backlog management in Atlassian Jira.
• Conduct process analysis and optimization to map, document, and analyze business processes.
• Manage requirements gathering to elicit and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders, translating needs into technical specifications.
• Create detailed user stories, including acceptance criteria, and use Atlassian Confluence and Jira for backlog management and sprint planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ yrs experience (or commensurate experience).
• Must have experience working in an Agile environment.
• Must possess leadership and excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess the ability to explain intricate and complicated concepts and ideas.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira is strongly preferred.
• Certified Scrum Master
• SAFe certified
