What you will do

• Champion the long-term technical strategy, ensuring the platform scales for the world's largest commerce sites and leverages AI/ML breakthroughs.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate technologies like LLMs, NLU, and vector databases to enhance the agent's intelligence.
• Tackle systemic performance bottlenecks and architectural deficiencies in distributed, fault-tolerant cloud-native systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor senior engineers, and raise the bar for engineering excellence.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience, including 3+ years as a Principal Engineer (or equivalent) for large-scale production systems.
• Deep mastery in designing and building highly scalable, cloud-native systems, including distributed and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency in a modern backend language (Java, Python, or Go) and experience managing large-scale data in SQL and NoSQL environments.
• Experience building and deploying on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong technical communication skills to articulate complex technical visions.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in E-commerce, conversational AI, chatbot development, or large-scale search/recommendation systems.
• Experience working with and deploying machine learning models, specifically involving NLP/NLU or Generative AI/LLMs.
