What you will do

• Take full ownership and responsibility for Balance’s data stack.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Implement AI and ML modules to support applications.
• Build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
• Develop analytics tools to provide actionable insights into business metrics.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements through automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional Data Engineer experience, preferably from Fintech companies.
• Strong proficiency with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Experience with Cloud DBs (Snowflake/Redshift) and ETL tools (Fivetran/Rivery/Airbyte).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities in English.
