What you will do

• Lead features, from ideation and implementation, through to launch.
• Integrate with backend services and improve API infrastructure built with Python, Java, Node, GraphQL, and Postgres.
• Develop new product features using TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Tailwind CSS.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams to iterate on the product.
• Design and build robust backend systems and infrastructure, with a 70% backend focus.
• Craft intuitive, polished product experiences and interfaces for data activation, with a 30% UI focus.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or another technical field.
• 2+ years of experience working as a full-stack engineer with a back-end focus.
• Previous experience with backend development in Python/Java.
• Previous experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, algorithms, and system design.
• Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
