What you will do

  • Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to the Datacenter department.
  • Drive the strategic advancement of the datacenter architecture, applying Zero‑Trust design principles.
  • Ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of the IT service landscape.
  • Plan and lead infrastructure initiatives such as consolidation programs, site expansions, and technology upgrades.
  • Oversee system performance, incident management, and security events in close collaboration with Corporate Security and business stakeholders.
  • Take full budget and resource ownership for the Datacenter division.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience in datacenter operations and IT infrastructure, ideally in a leadership or project management capacity.
  • Strong expertise in server, storage, virtualization, and backup technologies.
  • Experience with Zero‑Trust architectures, Software‑Defined Datacenter concepts, and modern security frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux), IAM platforms, and directory services.
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English.

Nice to have

  • Broad understanding of G+D business models, organizational structures, and processes is an advantage.
  • Customer‑focused, results‑driven working style with strong conceptual and strategic capabilities.
