What you will do
- Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to the Datacenter department.
- Drive the strategic advancement of the datacenter architecture, applying Zero‑Trust design principles.
- Ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of the IT service landscape.
- Plan and lead infrastructure initiatives such as consolidation programs, site expansions, and technology upgrades.
- Oversee system performance, incident management, and security events in close collaboration with Corporate Security and business stakeholders.
- Take full budget and resource ownership for the Datacenter division.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in datacenter operations and IT infrastructure, ideally in a leadership or project management capacity.
- Strong expertise in server, storage, virtualization, and backup technologies.
- Experience with Zero‑Trust architectures, Software‑Defined Datacenter concepts, and modern security frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux), IAM platforms, and directory services.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.
Nice to have
- Broad understanding of G+D business models, organizational structures, and processes is an advantage.
