EA-Product Manager (Civic Tech)

EA-Product Manager (Civic Tech): Defining and delivering market-leading functionality for organizations to organize, mobilize supporters, raise money, and optimize engagement campaigns with an accent on analyzing user problems, assessing customer needs, and documenting acceptance criteria. Focus on translating domain knowledge into user stories and advocating for customer needs across the organization.

Location: Remote, United States. Candidates requiring current or future sponsorship for employment authorization cannot be considered.

Salary: $74,600 - $115,000 (US Base Salary Range)

What you will do

• Collaborate with product leadership and stakeholders to define and prioritize a roadmap that delivers value.
• Identify and negotiate minimum viable product solutions that will provide the highest value to customers.
• Act as the voice of NGP VAN’s customers and partners, advocating for customer needs.
• Translate domain knowledge, client goals, and customer needs into effective user stories.
• Clearly define the who, what, and why of new features and write detailed requirements.
• Organize and understand diverse needs and priorities, then communicate them to the team.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in software product management within an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with political and electoral fundraising, compliance, engagement, and organizing programs and software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to balance overall company/product visions with minute details, balancing business and customer objectives.
• Ability to become an expert in how organizations use their donor and other systems of record to drive outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience working with political technology, campaign finance, or regulatory compliance solutions.
• Experience working with or an understanding of donor, and or supporter data systems of record (NGP, Salesforce, etc.).
• Experience working with or an understanding of FEC, state, and local compliance regulations and how they impact product capabilities.
• Experience collaborating with technology vendors and platforms serving electoral organizations.
