What you will do
- Gather, evaluate, and prioritize customer needs, market insights, and competitive information to develop product requirements.
- Collect requirements from various stakeholders, draft user requirements, define scenarios, and prepare Product Requirements documentation.
- Oversee project teams tasked with implementing products and features defined within the product requirements.
- Monitor competitors and collaborate with Product Marketing to communicate the product’s unique value proposition.
- Manage customer feature requests by evaluating their relevance and priority for the product roadmap backlog.
- Present product roadmaps to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners in a clear and strategic manner.
- Stay informed of current industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve product offerings.
- Assess and enhance processes to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Experience with Product Management or formal Product Management training.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collect and integrate information from multiple sources to meet user needs.
- Experience in Product Management in a software company with an understanding of Product development and QA processes.
- Strong knowledge and experience with the z/OS ecosystem or Capacity Management is preferred.
