Solutions Architect (Bay Area)

Solutions Architect (Data Architecture): Leading technical evaluations and delivering demos for dbt Cloud to unlock value for customers and scale their analytics practices with an accent on modern, enterprise-scale data architectures. Focus on leading proof-of-concept engagements and influencing the enterprise roadmap through collaboration with Product and Engineering.

Location: Must be based in the Bay Area

Salary: $195,000 - $275,000 USD

What you will do

• Design modern, enterprise-scale data architectures using dbt Cloud.
• Partner with Sales to demonstrate the technical value of hirify.global solutions.
• Lead proof-of-concept engagements and technical evaluations for prospective customers.
• Work with engineering to deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds for enterprise clients.
• Manage the full customer lifecycle, from pre-sales through onboarding and adoption.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence the enterprise roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience as a sales engineer, solutions architect, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI.
• Proven hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of modern data stacks and cloud data warehousing.
• Effective communicator—able to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions.
• Excellent written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software.
• Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt.
• Familiarity with modeling approaches like dimensional modeling, Data Vault, or 3NF.
• Background in legacy ETL tooling (Informatica, Talend, Boomi).
