Antenna Software Engineer, Satellites (Starlink)

Antenna Software Engineer (Starlink): Develop embedded software for custom modem and beamformer silicon ASICs, collaborating with antenna engineers to measure antennas as part of our CI/CD process. Focus on improving performance and debugging issues, designing automated measurement systems to characterize phased arrays.

Salary: $122,500.00 - $170,000.00/per year

What you will do

• Develop embedded software for custom modem and beamformer silicon ASICs.
• Write flight-critical software to ensure intended antenna operation.
• Collaborate with antenna engineers to implement new measurement techniques.
• Analyze on-orbit performance data and investigate methods to improve performance.
• Drive production RF test features to verify hardware.
• Design and build automated measurement systems to characterize phased arrays radiating at 10-20GHz.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
• 1+ years of programming experience in embedded C or C++.
• Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission critical deadlines

Nice to have

• Experience and understanding of RF fundamentals and/or communications theory.
• Familiarity with radio-related lab measurement equipment and techniques.
• Experience with phased array antenna systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up atmosphere.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
