What you will do

• Build and communicate a clear documentation strategy and product roadmap.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a global team of Technical Writers.
• Ensure delivery excellence by planning and tracking documentation work against release milestones.
• Embed everyday use of AI into the team’s workflows.
• Partner closely with Product Management, R&D leaders, Architects, UX, and Support.
• Own team health and capability-building.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an agile software development environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring other writers.
• Ability to translate business and product priorities into clear documentation strategies.
• Strong ownership mindset, with a track record of driving quality.
• Passion for continuous improvement and innovation in tools and processes (including smart use of AI).

• Experience as a formal manager or group lead for technical writers.
• Hands-on experience defining and using competency matrices.
• Proven track record leading hiring processes.
• Experience driving cross-team initiatives or cultural/Agile change in a multi-squad and/or multi-site global organization.
• Background working with globally distributed teams and coordinating work across sites and time zones.
