TL;DR

Regulatory Analyst (Fintech): Reviewing and translating financial regulations into algorithms, working across a global client base with queries related to compliance regulations. Focus on coding rules directly into the rules engine, identifying product improvements, and enhancing the functionality and scope of the rules.

Location: Must be based in London, UK and spend 3 days per week at our London office during their first 6 months, then at least 2 days per week in the office.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

What you will do

  • Collaborate with the regulatory team to express complex financial regulation into a domain-specific rule language.
  • Communicate with developers, product management, and other team members regarding modifications and enhancements to our service.
  • Provide support to the client service team in resolving queries related to regulatory interpretation and rule logic.
  • Proactively take initiative on daily routines and work practices of the team to ensure tasks are delivered on.
  • Improve processes to help operate more efficiently.
  • Promote and ensure best practices for the team are documented around the coding and testing of regulation.

Requirements

  • Background in a technical, quantitative, compliance, regulatory or business analyst role.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments (equities, bonds, derivatives etc).
  • Critical thinker with solid analytical problem-solving skills.
  • You're great at explaining things to people and have flawless written English.
  • You have a precise and logical approach to your work.
  • Must have permission to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
