Senior Backend Developer (GOlang): Joining the Engine team to develop and maintain hirify.global Recipe runtime with an accent on performance, scaling, storage, durability, atomicity, concurrency guarantees, data protection, and encryption. Focus on improving the execution engine of custom third-party code, identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.

What you will do

• Build, extend, troubleshoot, and fix complex heterogeneous GOlang applications, as well as small self-contained GOlang microservices.
• Improve the execution engine of custom third-party code (isolation, performance, new features).
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code in GOlang.
• Integrate data storage solutions such as Postgres, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, and ClickHouse.
• Evaluate and propose improvements to the existing system, identifying bottlenecks and devising solutions.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Requirements

• Strong experience in building scalable distributed backend applications (7+ years).
• Great understanding of building blocks of large web applications: databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, and caching.
• Good understanding of network protocols and stacks.
• Knowledge of basic data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject, with 7+ years of industry experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in related fields such as DevOps, ML, DBA, and Enterprise applications.
• Experience in building and deploying data processing pipelines.
