Senior Applied Scientist (AI): Building and optimizing AI systems using deep learning and reinforcement learning for web search, advertisement, and enterprise services, with an accent on RAG systems, generative AI, and novel NLP techniques. Focus on defining problems, gathering data, exploring model design, and pushing the envelope on deep learning research and production impact.

Location: Suzhou, China. Employees working from a non-U.S. country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week.

What you will do

• Drive core technologies and end-to-end production delivery by leveraging state-of-the-art AI technologies.
• Address product challenges through Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning approaches, transferring novel ideas to production applications.
• Develop deep learning models for hirify.global AI scenarios, including generative search, answers, and knowledge experience.
• Push the envelope on deep learning by defining problems, establishing metrics, gathering training data, and exploring model design/architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding OR equivalent experience.
• Experience in applying deep learning, LLM, and RAG techniques to drive end-to-end AI product development.
• 4+ years of working experience in NLP/search related areas.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years experience, or Bachelor’s with 5+ years experience.
• 5+ years of working experience in NLP/search related areas.
• Experience in LLM post-training and finetuning.
• Experience in RAG system.
• Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
