What you will do

• Own and ensure payroll compliance for your assigned country or region, interpreting and implementing local requirements.
• Translate statutory rules, payroll logic, and tax calculations into structured product requirements for engineering and design teams.
• Lead complex multi-country or high-risk audits, identifying root causes and driving systemic improvements.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for compliance issues, resolving incidents swiftly and implementing preventative actions.
• Design and implement scalable processes, controls, and SOPs for payroll compliance operations.
• Create training materials and deliver enablement sessions to upskill internal teams on compliance rules and workflows.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for a specific country/region, including understanding of legislative translation into system logic.
• Proven record leading audits, regulatory reviews, or country-level compliance programs.
• Experience partnering with technical teams to convert statutory rules into product requirements.
• Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, and Senior Leadership.
• Confident investigator with sound judgment in high-risk or sensitive scenarios.
• Ability to mentor and coach team members, growing overall compliance capability.
• A systems thinker capable of designing scalable frameworks, documentation, processes, and controls.
• English: B2+ proficiency is required for all communication and documentation.
