What you will do
- Own and ensure payroll compliance for your assigned country or region, interpreting and implementing local requirements.
- Translate statutory rules, payroll logic, and tax calculations into structured product requirements for engineering and design teams.
- Lead complex multi-country or high-risk audits, identifying root causes and driving systemic improvements.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for compliance issues, resolving incidents swiftly and implementing preventative actions.
- Design and implement scalable processes, controls, and SOPs for payroll compliance operations.
- Create training materials and deliver enablement sessions to upskill internal teams on compliance rules and workflows.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for a specific country/region, including understanding of legislative translation into system logic.
- Proven record leading audits, regulatory reviews, or country-level compliance programs.
- Experience partnering with technical teams to convert statutory rules into product requirements.
- Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Legal, and Senior Leadership.
- Confident investigator with sound judgment in high-risk or sensitive scenarios.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members, growing overall compliance capability.
- A systems thinker capable of designing scalable frameworks, documentation, processes, and controls.
- English: B2+ proficiency is required for all communication and documentation.
