TL;DR

Frontend Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing high-performance user experiences for an AI-powered platform with an accent on intuitive UI, accessibility, and scalability. Focus on translating design requirements into performant interfaces, supporting architectural decisions, and contributing to design systems.

Location: Hybrid role, with an expectation of being in our Toronto hub three days per week.

What you will do

• Implement user interfaces for hirify.global’s AI-driven platform.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Backend teams.
• Support architectural decisions for product surfaces.
• Help develop and maintain design system components.
• Optimize applications for speed, accessibility, SEO, and responsiveness.
• Take ownership of projects with guidance from experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React (or similar), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Interest in learning state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Jotai).
• Experience or interest in working with design systems and component libraries.
• Curiosity about web performance optimization and accessibility standards.
• Exposure to frontend testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) and Git.
• Willingness to learn modern frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI-driven or data-heavy web applications.
• Familiarity with backend integration patterns (REST APIs, GraphQL).
• Exposure to SSR frameworks like Next.js.
• Experience deploying frontend applications (Vercel, Netlify, AWS Amplify).
