Staff Software Engineer (Data Infrastructure)

Focus on scaling compute and orchestration layers, enabling real-time OLAP capabilities, and driving improvements in security and developer experience.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable data infrastructure for analytics and ML.
• Serve as DRI for core data services like EMR, StarRocks, Pinot, and Airflow.
• Improve security, cost efficiency, and developer experience across data infrastructure.
• Build automation and self-service tools that empower data teams.
• Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and security teams on scalable solutions.
• Contribute to observability, monitoring, and alerting via Grafana and related tooling.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software or infrastructure engineering experience, including time spent supporting data-intensive systems or data platforms.
• Proven experience in building, deploying, and operating distributed infrastructure at scale.
• Strong technical background with big data and infrastructure technologies (EMR, Airflow, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, Bash, and SQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Vault, Terraform, Chef, and Grafana.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Hands-on experience supporting data pipelines or data engineering workflows.
