Gen AI Architect, Consulting Principal (AI Engineering)

GenAI Architect (AI Engineering): Leading the technical architecture for Agentic AI solutions, including use case feasibility, reference architectures, and platform adoption with an accent on scalable, secure, and cost-effective GenAI capabilities. Focus on designing and implementing POCs/pilots, building RAG pipelines, and collaborating with governance teams to implement guardrails and safety layers.

Location: Hybrid, requiring regular travel (up to 50%) and presence in client or hirify.global offices on the US East Coast or Central Time Zones. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary: $122,400 - $223,500 depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Assess use case feasibility and produce a go/no-go recommendation with solution options.
• Define the Agentic AI foundation and architect multi‑agent solutions.
• Develop reference architectures and pattern libraries.
• Design and implement POCs/pilots for data connectors, embeddings pipelines, and prompt flows.
• Build RAG pipelines: chunking, embeddings creation, and vector indexing.
• Collaborate with governance teams to implement guardrails and safety layers.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software/data/AI architecture; 2+ years hands-on with LLMs/GenAI in production or pilots.
• Experience with cloud AI stacks in AWS (Bedrock, OpenSearch, Lambda, KMS, Step Functions).
• Strong in Python/TypeScript/Java and building LLM apps using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel.
• Deep understanding of RAG design: chunking strategies, embeddings, and vector DBs.
• Preferred experience in security & compliance: OAuth/JWT, RBAC/ABAC, encryption, data masking, PII handling, auditability, Responsible AI.
• Familiarity with model ecosystem (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, DeepSeek) and trade-offs.
