What you will do

• Lead technical vision and architectural direction for scalable, reliable, and high-performing backend systems.
• Define best practices and long-term technical strategy in partnership with engineering leadership.
• Design, develop, and oversee robust software delivery using Python, Django, and cloud technologies like Cloud Firestore, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance system performance and developer productivity.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 7+ years' experience in backend software development, including senior or principal-level roles.
• Expertise in Python (or similar backend language) with proven experience in distributed systems, APIs, and microservices at scale.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure), and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Demonstrated experience influencing technical direction and driving alignment across teams.
