Network Engineer

TL;DR

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester or Peterborough, UK (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure across multiple sites and vendors.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance bottlenecks and incidents.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams on network-related initiatives.
• Produce clear procedural documentation for IT operations and end users.
• Support high-availability environments and data center power/space management.
• Handle escalated technical issues impacting business services.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco hardware (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR).
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Practical experience with wireless technologies like Meraki.
• Solid understanding of WAN, VPN, and Zero Trust security architectures.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Zabbix.
• Must be able to work on a hybrid basis from Manchester or Peterborough.

• Experience in complex, high-availability data center environments.
