What you will do

• Develop visual concepts for documentaries and video essays.
• Present and pitch concepts to all stakeholders.
• Ensure visual design supports and enhances editorial impact.
• Provide clear direction for editing, 2D motion design, 3D animation, and sound.
• Oversee the entire post-production process from rough cut to final audio mix.
• Improve post-production processes and workflows to increase efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in at least two of the following areas: editing, cinematography, directing, 2D animation, or 3D animation.
• Passion for creative work and journalistic content with a strong eye for detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Fluency in German and business-level English.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Art Direction, ideally in documentary or digital video production.
• Familiarity with 2D and 3D animation workflows.
• Solid knowledge of project management tools such as Monday.com.
