Senior Analytics Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Analytics Engineer: Transforming raw data into well-modeled, business-ready marts and semantic layers for data-led decisions across nine European markets with an accent on Kimball-style modeling, dbt transformations, and semantic definitions for BI tools. Focus on leading the migration of Redshift/BigQuery workloads into Snowflake and dbt, refactoring legacy logic, and optimizing models for performance.

Location: London-based with a hybrid model (2 days per week in the office, with occasional travel to markets)

What you will do

• Design and own dimensional data models and marts in dbt following Kimball principles.
• Build and maintain dbt pipelines from raw layers to gold layer marts, ensuring performance and quality.
• Translate technical schemas into clear business concepts and documentation.
• Lead migration of Redshift/BigQuery workloads into Snowflake and dbt.
• Line manage 2–3 Analytics Engineers, coaching and maintaining high technical standards.
• Partner with DDS leadership and stakeholders to define and execute data strategy.

Requirements

• Strong SQL; hands-on with Snowflake (plus Redshift/BigQuery)
• Proven experience with dbt at scale
• Dimensional modeling using Kimball methodology
• Python for data engineering tasks
• Airflow (or similar) and Git-based workflows
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)

• Great Expectations, semantic layer tooling, Terraform, media/advertising background
