UX Designer

TL;DR

UX Designer: Creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces for web-based software platforms with an accent on usability and functionality enhancement. Focus on conducting user research, developing design systems, and ensuring visual appeal across products.

Location: Hybrid, Porto, Portugal. Regular travel to customer sites, tradeshows, conferences, and other company office locations is expected.

What you will do

• Conduct user research, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to understand customer needs.
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to illustrate design concepts and user flows.
• Design visually appealing and responsive user interfaces consistent with brand identity across devices.
• Help build and maintain the company’s design system.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and marketing to align designs with business goals and technical requirements.
• Plan and conduct usability testing, analyzing findings to inform design improvements and advocate for users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• A good level of English is essential.
• Proven experience in UX/UI design, preferably with web-based software platforms.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Scrum.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
• Experience with HTML/CSS and basic front-end development.
• Experience with design systems.
• French language skills.
