What you will do

• Accountable for architecture and governance of cloud platforms, ensuring security and operational standards.
• Lead design and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud solutions, including IaC, automation, and orchestration.
• Own lifecycle management of cloud services from planning to cost control.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable cloud architectures.
• Drive incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex cloud issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cloud architecture and engineering across major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members, with excellent communication skills.
• Expertise in monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization for cloud services.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at the required level is essential for this role. You must have this clearance in place before you can start.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and cloud-native security tools.
