Senior Backend Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Senior Backend Engineer (Cybersecurity): Developing a SaaS product to protect Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 applications with an accent on end-to-end feature implementation, testing, and delivery. Focus on driving innovations, code and architecture improvements, and ensuring quality and security best practices for enterprise and distributed systems.

Location: Hybrid role based in the Ottawa Area, Canada. Requires working onsite three days per week and remotely the remaining days.

What you will do

• Participate in the development of a SaaS product protecting Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Be responsible for end-to-end features implementation, testing, and delivery.
• Communicate effectively, share knowledge, and drive team success.
• Facilitate innovations, code and architecture improvements, and quality / security best practices.
• Participate in paid on-call rotation as needed to support hirify.global products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in C# and demonstrated ability to produce production-ready code.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in enterprise applications and distributed systems development.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Experience with writing acceptance tests.
• Experience with agile development process.
• Strong communication skills with internal team members and external business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerized applications or microservices working in Kubernetes.
• Advanced knowledge of multi-threading and async programming (C#, Python).
• Experience with Azure Blob Storage, Opensearch / Elastic, Redis, SQLite, MS SQL.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD B2C.
• Knowledge of Azure Application programming model and API.
• Experience developing and maintaining multi-tenant SaaS applications hosted on Azure or Amazon.
