TL;DR

Risk Analyst (Fintech): Analyzing financial data and developing data-driven insights to support business decision-making with an accent on credit risk modeling, IFRS-9 guidelines, and reconciliation processes. Focus on developing and maintaining ECL calculation models, validating risk models, and optimizing existing processes through automation.

What you will do

  • Analyze customer and merchant financial data to derive actionable insights.
  • Develop reports and dashboards for internal and external reporting lines.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency, resolving discrepancies across multiple sources.
  • Engage in risk/finance analytics and ad-hoc inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain ECL calculations models under IFRS-9 guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product launches and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Economics, Statistics or actuarial science.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience at a bank or Fintech in a data analytics or Risk analytics team.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel is a must.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Basic understanding of IFRS9 credit risk modeling requirements and financial concepts.
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent command of English and strong communication skills.
