Finance Transformation Intern

Location: Hybrid role based in Providence, Rhode Island. Must be able to work 37.5 hours/week during the summer, with the possibility of extension into the fall/spring semester at a minimum of 12 hours/week.

Salary: $24.00 per hour starting compensation.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to design and implement technology-driven solutions that enhance financial processes, reporting, and analytics.
• Support automation initiatives using tools such as Power BI and advanced Excel to streamline manual tasks.
• Identify, plan, and execute potential machine learning or AI processes and tools.
• Participate in projects focused on data integration and dashboard development.
• Assist with the evaluation and rollout of new digital tools and best practices across the Finance organization.
• Engage with transformation liaisons and stakeholders to gather requirements and propose innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL).
• Strong interest in business processes and digital transformation.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with large volumes of data.
• Well-organized, with effective communication skills and a strong desire to learn.
• Must be able to work 37.5 hours/week during the summer, with the possibility of extension into the fall/spring semester at a minimum of 12 hours/week.
