Product Manager — Marketplace (Conversion & Retention)

About the Role
Rafeeq is building a next-generation marketplace for food delivery and local commerce. We are looking for a Product Manager — Marketplace to own the product surfaces that directly drive conversion, retention, and order frequency.
This role focuses on product-based discovery, search, personalization, and AI-driven decision support, shaping how users find products, make choices, and return to the platform.
You will work at the intersection of Marketplace Logic, AI, Search, and User Experience, with direct ownership of business-critical metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
— Define and own the Marketplace Conversion & Retention roadmap
— Translate business goals into clear product initiatives
— Prioritize features based on impact, complexity, and scalability
— Balance user experience with marketplace health and operational constraints
Execution & Delivery
— Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
— Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and feature releases
— Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, ML, and Operations
— Ensure fast, high-quality delivery with measurable outcomes
Conversion & Retention Optimization
— Improve search → order conversion across all discovery surfaces
— Reduce decision friction and time-to-order
— Increase repeat usage through personalization and relevance
— Optimize AOV and supply utilization without harming experience
AI, Search & Personalization
— Define ranking and recommendation logic for listings, search, and home feed
— Work with ML teams on relevance models, personalization, and experimentation
— Own guardrails for AI systems (availability, ETA, cancellations, margins)
— Measure and iterate on AI-driven experiences
Experimentation & Analytics
— Own experimentation roadmap (A/B tests, feature rollouts)
— Track funnel metrics, cohorts, and retention curves
— Use insights to continuously improve marketplace performance
Key Metrics You Will Be Accountable For
— Search → order conversion
— Product CTR & add-to-cart rate
— Time-to-first-order
— D7 / D30 retention
— Orders per MAU
— Average order value (AOV)
— Supply utilization & availability
Requirements
Must-Have
— 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager (marketplace, search, or consumer apps)
— Proven experience improving conversion funnels and retention
— Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with data
— Experience owning high-impact surfaces (Search, Feed, Discovery)
— Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Design, and ML teams
Nice-to-Have
— Experience in food delivery, quick commerce, or ride-hailing
— Exposure to AI-powered consumer products
— Familiarity with tools like SQL, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase
— Startup or high-growth scale-up experience
