Senior C/C++ RAN Telecom Software Engineer (5G/O-RAN): Leading and contributing to R&D for embedded network applications with an accent on 5G architecture, protocols, and 3GPP standards. Focus on designing R&D implementation strategies, ensuring test coverage, and solving complex real-time system challenges.

Location: Remote (Europe) or from offices in Brno, Czech Republic.

What you will do

Act as a key technical contributor and leader within the R&D organization.
Provide expert support for the team, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and operational processes.
Take a leading role in planning and designing R&D implementation strategies.
Ensure test coverage for your assigned area.

Requirements

Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded network applications.
Strong understanding of 5G architecture and protocols, and 3GPP standards.
Understanding of O-RAN and FAPI/eCPRI interfaces.
Deep understanding of digital communications, including OFDM, MIMO, and channel coding.
Solid understanding of embedded systems running on Linux or RTOS.
Experience with implementing cloud-native RAN software (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical and debugging skills for real-time systems with hands-on experience with Wireshark or QXDM.
Experience with version control systems (Git, Gerrit) and build automation tools (CMake).
English proficiency: B2+ required.

Nice to have

BSc/MSc/PhD in Telecommunications or Computer Science.
Experience with Python for automation and test scripting.
Competence in MATLAB or equivalent simulation tools, and practical knowledge of DSP and vectorization.
